People don't sell homes on a whim. I personally wouldn't trust a company that only put up cheap-looking signs on the road - it would make me think that they'd low-ball me or aren't reputable.

You might want to create some news angles -- with you as a quoted expert, of course, and a satisfied client for credibility. A hot topic is the economy and how it's affecting home sales. Talk about how your business has/has not changed as a result of the market. Also answer the question of how you make money once you buy the homes. This way you inject your way into the business psyche of your audience.

Put together a flyer with some stats that show the average amount that the homes are selling for right now. Most people are waiting to sell/upgrade their homes till the market switches. What they don't realize is that their new home is going to be more expensive at that time. If they were to sell their home to you, they would not get as much money for the house, but they would be able to get their new house for cheaper and if you do some research, you will see that after the transaction is done, they will save more money buying/selling now, than when the market is bad than they would if the market is strong.
