With all due respect, you should have known what you'd bill before you started the project and shared the number with the client before you moved forward. At this point, determine how much time you put into the effort, add out-of-pocket expenses, estimate a price per hour based on industry standards and hope the client pays the bill as it didn't know what you'd charge from the outset.

Traditional costings for these type of events take on the following form:

    1. Charge the customer for initial creative time plus,
    2. Add the actual events costs(time, materials, equipment) and add a commission (anything from 10% to 20%)

This is the norm and would be accepted by any in the Retail environment
