Ups Whiteboard Commercial Costs

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am curious if anyone has any idea of the production costs for the UPS whiteboard commercials. I am interested in producing something similar and was curious what they invested. I am guessing it cost a decent amount to license the Postal Service song and most of the other costs incurred are around animation.

Thanks.

The Postal Service song is the background music in the spot. It's called "Such Great Heights" and was a fairly popular song on alternative radio several years ago. I'm guessing they had to pay a reasonable amount for it.

I'm thinking they were actually more expensive than I expect as they were directed by Errol Morris and visual effects were done by RIOT which is a high end post-production facility. I don't think they were produced completely in-house.
