Tired Of New And Improved

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
Hello all,
We have a light called the Saberlight. We've recently rebranded it to update the Li-Ion (lithium Ion) battery.
They want to make a big splash with it and show it's "New and Improved" but I'm just so tired of that and we really want it to stand out. Any suggestions? We're looking for a tag line too.
So far the only thing we've got is Fully Charged.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

You're right, new and improved is meaningless without something that says what benefit people will get from the new version.

So, what makes it different? Why is it better? Is it brighter? Does it save energy?

JKaplan is right. Why not say soemthing about longer lasting battery. Is their any Green benefit from lithium batteries? I so say it.

It is apparently brighter, lighter, charged less and works longer.
I don't know if there's anything green aspect to it other than you have to charge it less.

    Thanks for all the suggestions!

Almost looks like you are spelling "LION" ... anything to playing off the "roar" of a lion?

I know it sounds odd, but might be just the thing to help you stand out.

something like: "Saberlight roars with new power"... with visual of lion roaring in background.

    ????

Just a thought! Not sure what your audience is comprised of or what they'd be receptive/reactive to ...

    good luck

How about playing on the sabre part:

    Cutting through the dark
    Slashing charging time
    Razor beam precision
    Chopping down down time
    Cutting edge new technology

Of course you could just go with the facts and use 'Now uses Li-Ion batteries for longer life and less charge time', which would make the point far better than some tired old phrase or clever catchphrase.

    Good luck.
