It is true that problem recognition is the first step of decision making process. It is related with the decision making in the way that if a consumer does not know exactly what he wants, he can not get the the things to satisfy his needs. Even if he gets, it will be more of dsisatistified nature. Moreover, every purchaser requires the best value out of the money he spended, hence he must get the need exactly defined and the purpose of buying that product otherwise the product will be in doomsday.
Problem does not considered as a need or a want rather it consits of the answer of the purpose of buying the product and what value he should get after buying this.
