Innovative Non Traditional Media

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I'm looking for ideas on some really kickass non traditional media options to promote a travel product in India. The client is a large buyer of traditional media space but is seeking some non traditional options for a soon to be launched holiday product. The target demographic is urban, middle to upper middle class aged late twenties to mid thirties.
I'm thinking of a quiz / score game you can play and email out on Facebook or similar. Any advise is much appreciated. Thanks

    Dear bosco,
Your target demographic is likely to cluster. Assuming that India applies a population census to track its population growth, use the latest census data (if available to you) which should contain information on income, age group and demography. Using a geo-demographic targeting strategy, overlay this information on an area map and deliver your message via direct-to-door saturation marketing utilizing an over-sized (5.5" X 17" or larger) door-hanger or a colorful poly-bag with a brochure/information and your game card inside.

The channel is different, innovative, and the creative can't be ignored (is large and hanging from a consumer's door). This media channel will reach the specific geography where your target audience is most likely to reside - again, assuming that the audience with your specific criteria clusters - which in most cases it does.

    Good luck!

Steve, the travel product is 'Weekend breaks' or 'Quick Getaways' to International destinations within a 4 hour flight of major Indian cities. The company is branding this product 'JFO' or 'Just Fly Off'.

Roca, I kind off like your idea and am considering its dynamics. Thanks a ton

    Cheers!
