Actually a couple of questions:

1. What's the best way to make a living creating tag lines, catch phrases, and slogans?

2. Also interested in the creative side of making radio and tv commercials.

3. How to you get on the teams that review radio/tv advertising and commercials (for products, services, new shows, etc..)

Thanks!

In addition to Randall's suggestion, practice. There's a real skill to creativity, and there are a number of experts who have studied why some people are more creative than others. Further they define creativity as "novelty that's useful." And the more you practice creativity, the easier it becomes to be creative and the more useful your novel ideas will be.

Read, for example, The Creative Brain, by Ned Herrmann. And don't forget the marketing classics -- Kotler on Marketing, Positioning: The Battle for Your Mind, etc. The creative process applied to marketing requires that you have a good grasp of marketing, and a good phrase that expresses great strategy is more important than a great expression of a less-good strategy.

    Good luck.
