Business Expo Coming Up - Need Ideas

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
I own a graphic/web design firm called Ten31 Studios. We have business expo coming up in 2 months and i really want to have a small take away like most of the other tables but I want to do something that stands out and is inexpensive.

Our platform is "Graphic Design with Rock Star Results" so I want to use something that reinforces the "rock star" aspect. I have looked at guitar picks printed with our logo and web address and guitar shaped key chain/bottle openers. I don't know if the picks would be too small or not... and the key chains are a bit out of my price range unfortunately.

Any ideas or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

To attract attention in your booth, how about having a "Guitar Hero" contest. Broadcast the competition on a big screen that's easily visible from the aisles. Use signage and PA announcements to publicize the contest. Visitors can sign up, play the game, and be eligible for a drawing to win the Guitar Hero System. You'll gain a mailing list and the attendees will have fun and possibly win.

Those who play walk away with a small memento, which will cut down on the number of give-aways you need.

I really dig the guitar hero idea... I have guitar hero, so that is already done... my only question is are the multitudes of "grown ups" going to stop and play?

Well I am 54 years old and have a guitar hero- but I am a pretty hip ole lady.

I'd prime the pump and have some hero buddies come by to play-- and draw people in. It will draw attraction and that is all you need.

Be creative, and I know I'm preaching to the choir cause I know u are. I am getting married next month-- and I am amazed at how inexpensive and creative wedding favors are-- and how they could be personalized with a business message. Do a variation of this "thank you"
https://partysuppliesworld.com/pages/PartyThemes/rock_star_party.html-- and wear or give away a variation of this tshirt https://weddingshop.theknot.com/weddingwarehouse/ProductPage.aspx?pId=P1415...)

But the best advice I can give is to try and build 4 or 5 (or whatever your #) really good contacts. Start a conversation -- come up with a compelling question, like "do you have a stinky logo" (which is exactly what someone's billboard recently said. It makes you stop. Sales are about relationships. Use this as an opp to start one. There are many souvenir schwag hunters that only care about the freebies.

How about star shaped rocks or fake gems that are star shaped, as a play on words?
