Grand Opening Family Entertainment Ctr

Opening a family entertainment center in a coastal tourist area in late March. Plan to start with a soft opening, but quickly transition to Grand Opening activities with the Spring Break season in mid-April.

2 challenges: (1) new business...low initial awareness...great location, (2) need to repeat the "grand opening" excitement level each week during the spring and summer tourist season to attract visitors to the store.

Additional info....
No direct competition, but other amusement and recreation alternatives include movie theater, mini-golf, go-karting, bowling, shopping/dining, and of course, the beach.

Marketing plan includes community involvement and sponsorships, advertising with visitor planners, billboard, etc. Looking for "event" ideas to promote weekly or special activities that would stand out and attract visitors to check us out.

    One thing that occurs to me is cooperation with these other venues. I don't know what constitutes a "family entertainment center" exactly but there is possibly some synergy with the other folks--you give away discount/free pass to them and they reciprocate. Becomes an incentive for visitors to both locations.

    Raffles and sweepstakes might draw some interest as well.
