There is a problem with your link (extra https://)

I found some pages incredibly slow to load. I am on a really fast connection and both the icon page and widgets page (over a minute) took forever to load. People will not wait that long.

I would include some images on your home page to make it more attractitve.

Do not have the text underline, just the header, on rollover on the links. All of the underlined text is hard to read.

The Widget page has proken image links for everything but the ads. The links to each widget seem to be broken well

Unforutnately this site needs a lot of help. I guess I can't even tell if the site is effective because too much is broken.

First impression - I had no idea what your site/business is about. Are you offering free collections of things? Are you web designer that's available for projects?

The banner/menu structure needs to be simplified and the copy needs to be focused on the visitor who has no idea how you can help them.

At first glance, this looks like a placeholder for a site that's for sale. There's no personality.

What is the purpose of the site? Is it freebies, or something else?

The home page doesn't match the rest of the site. I find this disconcerting. Are you testing two different designs?

The text colors on the rest of the site are hard to read.

When I click through a product, the layout doesn't seem to fit the template - images and text start above the box where it looks like they are supposed to be, and your "random items" icons below the product don't line up correctly.

To answer your question, no, I don't think either design is effective, in its current state.
