I'd first focus your marketing on your ideal customer. Who is it? Where are they located? What problem of theirs do you solve? Why are you better than other assessors? What's the expected return-on-investment (ROI) for hiring you?

The answers to these questions will inform who you contact and the language you use in contacting them.

I guess I am confused about what "domestic energy assessment" is. Is this a business that does energy audits for homes, telling people updates they can do to save energy? Who are your potential customers? What do they have in common? How would you identify these customers?

Advertising is easier to do and more effective if you can find a place (publication, orgnaization, ertc) where your potential clients congregate.

I guess I need more info to be helpful.

If you are doing home energy audits, perhaps you need to partner with local utility companies. Maybe they will send your information as a billing insert.

    Got it.

You are being too passive. People buy from people, not mailers. You must call and create a relationship with your partners. Direct mail alone has a response rate of less than 3%-- at best.

Have you tried the FSBO sites? I have a home listed-- when I fired the realtor and started marketing myself, things popped.

Do not let yourself fall in the excuse "things are slow". People are buying. They might as well buy from you.
