What's the ultimate objective? WHY do you want to market free wifi to low-income families? What's in it for you or them? Do you think it is something that will benefit them? Do they have wifi devices/computers? I don't quite get it.

I'm wondering if low income families actually can afford the laptop/computer with wifi capabilities?

Is this an idea you have to get them connected to social programs in your area? Most libraries I've visited (and I'm in a VERY rural area now) offer free Internet access/computers for the public.

I think you've got your answer… In my mind, marketing is about fitting a product to a market, not a market to a product. Unless there is a core benefit to you target market of using your product, you'd be wasting your money trying to convince them to buy from you. Or worse still, selling people something they don't need. These days low income families have enough to worry about – paying the rent, food and utility bills… I don't think gadgets will be high on the priority list. Unless you can figure out a way that WiFi will save them money, your on to a loser. Identify the need and the strategy will follow.

Thank you all so much for your responses..the information you have provided me will help better market this program..trust I do agree with what's the point of giving free Internet without an actual computer to use it on..I will talk to my supervisor about this..again thank u so much for the input..
