What are some examples of entry-level positions for someone who is graduating from an undergraduate program in public relations?

    It really depends where you want to go. If you don't limit yourself with the label "entry level", there are plenty of firms you could be running the whole show. Many medical practices and facilities, architectural firms etc have PR on staff-- one-- and I know several hired right out of college.

    I did a career builder search with the words "entry level public relations", there was about 3000 hits. But my best advice is don't limit yourself to "entry"/

    Carol is right. It depends on what you want.

    You might consider asking a few people in the business if they would be willing to spend 30-45 minutes with you to help you understand the options and figure out where you might want to direct your efforts. Make it clear to them that you are not asking for a job, or even a referral ... just trying to get some information.

    My guess is most will give you the information you want and maybe even help you once you decide on a career direction.

    And Carol is also right about dropping the "entry level" phrase. Purge it from your thinking and just focus on what you want to do with your life after you get the degree.
