Live Theatre & Ads In Newspapers? Passe?

I am the marketing director for a live professional not-for-profit theatre in the Chicagoland area. With troubles running amok with the Chicago Tribune, Sun-Times, and other newspapers - - - their subscriptions dropping, etc. does anyone have recommendations on smart advertising choices to get us out into the communities with a decent ROI? We currently advertise with radio stations, movie theatre, social internet websites, email & direct-mail.

    Try working with some local banks. They do mailings (yes, they still do) to senior citizen clubs and other affinity groups.
