Creative Sponsorship Ideas For A Community 'dance'

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am seeking some very creative/unique ideas for sponsorship. I am organising a 'family bush dance' for the local community. At this stage we will have children's entertainment and activities such as gum leaf blowing, whip cracking, line dancing, competition for best dressed 'bush attire' outfit.

I have thought of all the standard sponsorship ideas e.g. corporate hospitality, media advertising, personnel including security, rubbish removal etc.

So, now I am looking for more creative ideas e.g. glow in the dark wrist bands with a companies logo on them for the children etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Have a company sponsor a specific dance contest. The challenge is to have people create a dance that best reflects what the company means to them. For example, if it were Apple (and iPod), then someone holding an invisible iPod, twirling with it, earplugs in, etc.

The question I have is: what is wrong with the "standard" sponsorship ideas? After all, they become standard because they work. What is it that you've learned that tells you that something different will be successful? Far too many times people sink an intiative because they want to do something different, for the sake of being different.
