Increase Conversions

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I need to increase conversions on my site www.GuaranteedCreditBoost.com. It's currently at 6%, down from 14% last month. No idea why it dropped. I haven't made any changes.

I'm considering split testing just taking a name, email, and tel, but then I can't follow up with DM.

Without any specific data, I can only guess that the recent series of stories in the media showing that credit repair is mostly a rip-off has made people more cautious about any credit repair service, such as:

    https://bad-credit.interest.com/bad-credit/credit_repair_scams_tips.html
    https://www.fraud.org/tips/internet/creditrepair.htm
    https://credit.about.com/od/creditrepair/qt/avoidrepairscam.htm

If your business isn't one of these rip-offs, then you'll need to convince your website visitor that your different/better/honest and build their trust.

You mentioned that nothing changed. I just want to make sure that you mean NOTHING.

Are your traffic sources still the same? (This is the most important question if nothing else has changed.)

How long has your site been up?

    Have prices changed?

Are your UNIQUE visitor numbers the same? (The longer a site is up the more REPEAT visitors might be there, trying to make up their mind.)

This additional data will help us to help you.

Literally nothing was changed. Same keywords, same traffic, etc.

I have dozens of testimonials, before and after credit reports, and my service doesn't charge until the client sees results.

I offer credit repair videos free of charge as well, plus I even have a money back guarantee to boot.

The site has been up for 2 years. I was pushing directly to this salespage and getting a 14% optin for more info, but when traffic dryed up I started pushing to a squeeze page (36% optin ratio, then 6% for more info).

Your page hasn't changed, but maybe the consumer has. Like Jay mentions above, people might be more wary of Credit repair than they were before. Also with rise in default loans, it also could be your competition is increasing.

I know your page has been up for a while, but a few other notes:

    - First thing I noticed right off the bat is your call to action (opt-in form) is way, way down your page. Lead with it, or have it very close to the top.

    - Regardless of where the CTA is, your page is too long and has too much copy. You're better to break this page into smaller parts and FOCUS the user to a specific area. And shorten your copy and make it more concise.

    - Don't double space after a period. Your computer is not a typewriter. Sorry, it's a personal pet peeve.

    - You don't have a privacy statement anywhere that I could see (and it should be obvious). That alone will make me wary to sign-up for anything. What will you do with my data once I sign-up? Savvy consumers want to know.

    - And no offense, but your copy reads like a used car salesman, and while you may not be a scam, you're coming across like one. I know this page has been working for you in the past, but in these tough financial times people are looking for comfort and assurance, not necessarily a quick-fix.

    Best of luck!
