Analysis Of The Consumer Buying Process

how does a marketer analyse consumer buying process to sell a product(cadbury's)/ service (emirates airlines) and use the same effectively?

    Here is a good article which talks about the steps (need evaluation, information gathering, evaluation, purchase, cognitive evaluation), and gives an example (choosing what University to go to).

    Cadbury's would probably invovle someone going through the steps pretty quickly, because this is a low risk decision and likely repeated often.

    Emirates would likely take a bit longer, as it is less likely a repeated process and has more risk (higher price for the service).
