Print Ad For Tasting Event @ Dirt Track

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
This year is the second annual "Race 2 Taste" at Eldora Speedway, a dirt track in Ohio. At the event, people purchase tickets to sample food from local restaurants and a local winery. The event (Prelude to the Dream) features NASCAR stars returning to their roots in dirt track racing.

We are advertising the event in dirt track magazines, and I'm looking for taglines and photo ideas for the ad.

One thought I had was, "Dirt in your teeth? Wash it down at Race 2 Taste." The picture would be of a race fan with dirt on his face and teeth. (Try searching for that pic!)

Also thought about quick bulletin points, like stars. dirt. ???

The audience we entertained at last year's event was 30 to 60 year-old couples. Good turn out... want to increase attendance this year.

You are centrally located to some nice big cities in IN and OH, and not even too far from MIS in Michigan. I know folks who travel far to watch races. Go big, and send press releases nationally, or at least Midwest. Mention any big names who will be racing. Have you contacted their PR people for help?

    For an ad:

Tagline: "Get down and dirty at Race 2 Taste..."

Photo: 2 people (racers? onlookers?) facing off over the hood of a dirty racecar, which is spread with a (clean) small tablecloth and samplings of food, wine, etc.

Ad copy briefly explains event and purpose and gives second step number and/or website for more info. Smaller photos in a line across the bottom can highlight food, faces, music, events, etc.

PS: get a photo made, and ask your featured restaurants, etc, if they have any photos of their food, etc., at print quality resolutions.
