Review: Conceptfeedback.com

I'm developing a website to provide free concept reviews to a professional community. The homepage of the site is now live at www.ConceptFeedback.com Please take a look and let me know if this is an interesting concept and a valid need. Any suggestions on how to improve it?

As a business idea, I'm not sure where you're making money (online ads?). The biggest problem for a person posting an idea for criticism is that the people reviewing it may not be appropriate/skilled to review it. Furthermore you'll probably find that anyone can critique an idea, but that providing positive solutions and personal knowledge of the issues will be harder.

I would have the same question as Jay regarding the revenue model.
I think conceptually you do have a good idea as it is a free form of market testing for small businesses that do not have budgets for this. I would suggest using a similar model to Marketing Profs, where users have to set up a profile before they can participate on the site. That could address the concern of unqualified "critiquers". Those posting can check profiles of those commenting on their concepts. Perhaps you could also set up a format for the "critique" that includes possible solutions or alternatives to improve the concept.
    Have you tested this idea?

    Linda,

Eventually I want to offer premium features, like reviews from certified professionals and target markets. Advertising may play a role to some extent.

Yes - transparency will be key. I will give incentive for users to fill out their profile and use a feature called "Quality Score" for each (you can see a similar concept at www.StackOverflow.com).

    Thanks so much!
