    Advertising is an item in the marketing mix.

    Brand management is a discipline within marketing.

    Marketing is a subdivision of business management, the black arts, science and lots of maths.

    You must pay for advertising (unless you're a non-profit that may receive ads for no charge). Brand management combines marketing, public relations and advertising in a comprehensive way to control your image/brand.

    Actually, mathematically, advertising is a Fuzzy Subset of brand mangement where the fuzzy subset has the general form of:


    A fuzzy set is a pair (A,m) where A is a set and .

    For each , m(x) is the grade of membership of x. If A = {x1,...,xn} the fuzzy set (A,m) can be denoted {m(x1) / x1,...,m(xn) / xn}.

    Where A in (A,m) represents the advertising set and the latter expression the brand management criteria

    Cincepts which might work (Logical 1 or true) could be the kernel of the fuzzy set or:

    An element mapping to the value 0 means that the member is not included in the fuzzy set, 1 describes a fully included member. Values strictly between 0 and 1 characterize the fuzzy members.[3] The set is called the support of the fuzzy set (A,m) and the set is called the kernel of the fuzzy set (A,m).

    Dear Nitishchd4u,

    Brand management means juggling every aspect the brand conveys: benefits, values, solutions, feelings, emotions, perceptions, and a good many other things.

    The brand is partially the promise ... the pay off ... that the use or possession of the product offers.

    Advertising is one of the vehicles that gets the consumer to the destination promised by the brand.
