Public Relations For A Dental Clinic

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hello everyone! I am just in a moment of planning PR activities for a dental clinic. I already have some ideas how to promote the place locally (one city). However I would like to consult the subject with you and ask whether anyone of you keep in mind any spectacular idea that worked well. I think of activities that balance well potential clients / media / current clients.
I am looking forward to any suggestions!
All the best,
Magdalena

It depends on your goals/budget. Who specifically are you trying to attract? What makes your clinic unique? Is this a new business or an established one? Are there other clinics in the area? Why would the media care about the activity? Why would a potential client? Why would an existing client?

You could give away free dental care to those in need - good for PR. Or try to break a world record (# of cleanings in a day).

    Dear Magdalena,

I take it your aim is to increase the number of patients you have.

OK. To build your practice, consider giving away bicycles.

Kids sign up for treatment and dental health care programs,
they get points for regular brushing, flossing, and fewer fillings
in a given period and the winner ... the kid with the best record, wins a bicycle. Nothing fancy. One per month.

When patients refer four or five new clients, the referrer also
gets their name put into a hat to win a flat screen TV. or a vacation, or a gift certificate for an online store.

I've heard of other dentists that have done this and it's worked like magic. Put the bike in the practice somewhere where patients can see it. Send direct mail to all current patients telling them about the new scheme, and about your referral program.

Giving people access to the things they dream about funnels their interest.

    I hope this helps.
