My four principles for a solid, results producing marketing plan are:
    - stop doing what doesn't work
    - do more of what does
    - test, test, test
    - build a good lead nurturing program

I know these sound a little simplistic, but it's amazing how many companies keep doing stuff that doesn't work and have nothing (time or money) left to invest in other tactics.

If you' re pretty sure you have steps 1 and 2 covered - then we move to step 3 and decide what makes the most sense for your organization to test.

You're probably going to get a lot of suggestions for social media. It can certainly fit your cost-effective criteria, but it can take awhile to get the ball rolling.

I'd suggest starting with the top priorities. LinkedIn is a great network and your sales people and executives within the company should learn how to use it effectively.

Second, blogging can help your online awarenss and help drive people to your website and other offers.

It's really hard to say everything I want to say in this response. A lot clearly depends on your situation. I typically train marketers in the IT and high-tech industry, but like yours, they have to be really cost-effective. You might get some additonal insights from my blog that will help you.

    All the best!

Find out what your competition is doing...and don't do it. Instead of being another company that offers "recruitment solutions", focus on a specific niche (that is hiring) and specialize.

Testimonials from satisfied clients w/photo of executive or temp placed (on the job--inside or out), add client logo, building, etc. and what type of services you provided to them--short term, long-term, whatever. Print short-run flyers, send them out to prospects; take out a complementary ad in local paper or trade pub. Do this every other month or so with a new ad/flyer theme (can take 6-7 ads to finally get noticed/recognized, so don't go overboard with size). Try for upper right hand corner of same page in pub/paper with each placement.

    Good luck

I value all the ideas mentioned by the experts. I intend to present these ideas to the team and see how we can somehow incorporate them into our marketing plan.

    Thank you all.
