Promote A Suite Of Products To Current Customers

What is the best way (and least expensive way) to promote a suite of software products to current customers? The goal is to get current customers, who already have at least one of our products, to buy more of our software, instead of buying from the competition. We don't have a large budget. Would like most promos to go via email...what is the best angle to take and are there anymore inexpensive mediums to try for promotions?

    Since you already have a vendor relationship with these customers and are essentially cross-selling, email would be the most cost-effective way to reach them. Design a direct and benefits-rich email, a focused landing page for the email, and some kind of special offer for current customers. (After all, it's costing you less to acquire these customers, so you should be able to offer them something.)

    Or you could use another approach and solicit their feedback on your other products, with free trials. That way you tighten the partnership/loyalty of the customer and gain some valuable market research at the same time.

    Whatever you do, keep nurturing that relationship you have with the customer, as it has real value. Don't flood them with emails or otherwise annoy them.

    Yup, positive testimonials from existing customers about each and all of your products are your best bet to lure other/more users. Consider calling each directly to find out what they like AND don't like about products (then fix whatever you can and turn them into happy campers!). Consider discounts for those who purchase different/additional products; create win-wn-win for all.
