Know-How Exchange : Website Critique

Since it's a hodgepodge of ads and articles - it's not clear who you want to regularly target, or what your goal is for the site (AdSense ads? Affiliate sales? Membership?). If you're targeting men over 40 years of age in the US in a magazine-like format, then make that clear in your blog - make it easy for the eyes to find relevant articles and not have to hunt for information.

Immediate reactions:
- this is a fitness site? the first articles were guns and tabacco
- over 40? It wasn't till I went into some of the other pages that I saw this element come out
- is this a blog? Again this element is only visible deeper in the site.

The front page has many elements on it - from ads to articles each with different themes that did not immediately tie back to 'fitover40'... if you position 'fitover40' as fit to live the life an active alpha male (or aspiring one) wants to lead... then I get the tobacco, guns, women and fast cars. Else it's a catch all of things that appeal to a particular demographic...one say that is not the 40+ male who is fit, a global busienss, traveller who is interested in other cultures, wines and meditates - for example!

It's also not particularly clear what your business objective is for this site? To share your passion? From there to build a relationship that leads to sales? Cash through links?
