Customer Appreciation Event/party

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am looking to host a customer appreciation event for my clients. It is adults only and everyone can bring a guest. I am a Sales Manager for the transportation industry. I have held Casino Nights, a Luah on a boat, Murder Mystery, Clambake/Football Party, Golf Outings and Sporting Events. I've run out of ideas. My customer base is very diversified. The event will be for about 100 people. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

    You could do a wine/cheese tasting. Depending on your location - a vineyard tour - Western themed roundup - brisket - chuckwagon dinner - BBQ - Pig Roast
    You could plan around a holiday - Im in New Mexico so my ideas are geared to the west.
    Good luck! Think of something you might like to do and offer it to your customers. Bonfire on the beach - parasailing - have fun!

    I like the idea of an espresso bar...probably because one of my clients is an espresso caterer.

    But still, it needs to be a repeat of what worked before (so you clients can bring the client they didn't last ime) or something unique to your area. Do you know how many New Yorkers have never been to Ellis Island? Or, Chicagoans who've never been to the top of the Sears (whoops! Willis) Tower?

    Give them a reason to finally do what they should have done a long time ago.

    Michael

    Depending on what type of transportation your business does:
    * a mystery bus trip
    * a train trip (of yesteryear)
    * skydiving
    * gambling on a riverboat (for charity?)
    * limo rides to movie night (a la Academy Awards)

    How about holding a friendly video game tournament. Nothing that requires experienced players - more along the lines of Wii Bowling or one of the other Wii sports. Rent some big screen TV's and game systems. Everyone can sign up who wants to play and create their own Mii to use in the game. Even if some people don't want to play, it could be a lot of fun to watch if you have an outgoing group. You could have a few prize levels - something small for everyone who plays, a medium level gift for the finalists and one grand prize for the winner. Mixed with good food and drinks, this is an interactive event that can prove fun for just about anyone.

    I have done events in movie theaters- preview of a new movie of interest to your auduience and have the party in teh lobby.

    I have also done meeting in Comedy clubs. Depending on your auduience you may have to ask them to tone down language. They have the booze and food readly available.

    You might also look into a night club location and have a good old dance night. Just find one approriate to your customers.
