Effect Of Recession On Generation X Behaviour

Could anyone point me to research being conducted into the effect that the recession is having on GenerationX consumer behaviour.
I have found bits and pieces, but would like to see something a bit more complete and robust. Any leads would be greatfully received !

    In what country?
    And what class will this homework assignment be used for?

    Hi Jay,

    We're trying to find out about the high level impact at the moment - the effect of the recession on GenX consumers' behviour in general, not necessarily for a particular market or industry. I actually work in the automotive industry (it's not a homework assignment!), within its market research team. We're a worldwide brand, but I would welcome pointers to info in specific markets if you have any.
