Interview As A Sales Manager - Some Advice?

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I am going to an interview in a couple of days. Small/medium company. They build and sell houses and apartments. Their values are : They will be "better" than the competitor. You will not pay a penny more than agreed. If the house should be finished tomorrow, it will. Our last job, is the foundation for the next job.

The manager have had previous negative experience with both sales manager and sales staff (a total of 4).

They will focus on : Sales managing, sale, marketing, know-how about building industry and results.

Now, I have today, 20 years experience with sale, some as a sales manager - but I'm afraid they will focus a lot of that single thing - where I have least experience (but know a lot about after courses, reading - and of course, several sales managers in my previous jobs. (all the other things are ok)

Any suggestion what/how to focus?

Best regards
John

Go in prepared with a plan.

in interviewing future sales managers, many people come in and say they are ready to go....

When asked what their plan is... they either 1) havent formulated one, 2) dont know how to formulate one, or 3) are waiting for their boss to give them instructions for a sales plan.

I suggest you have one you can pull out... when they ask.
