Non-profit Need Help Writing An Advertising Spiel

We are currently looking to hire some people to sell advertising in a missing children publication that we would like to launch, however, we are looking for assistance in writing a winning spiel that will sell advertising

    Watch the words you choose, a spiel is defined as a lengthly agrument intending to persude. As Randall says, you don't need a spiel. You need to understand why someone will advertise in your publication.
    A change in point of view is sometimes the difference in success or failure.

    You also need more than (and I've worked with many nonprofits who have said this) saying I'm a 501c3, so give me $ cause it is tax deductable. Today there is a lot of competition for those dollars. You have to stand out in the crowd.

    Again, what are the benefits to the advertiser to invest in your publication? I don't want to repeat what Randall posted-- but answer his questions so we can help you better. Is this going to be a local, regional, or national publication?
