Not Sure Which Domain Name To Use

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I've registered 3 domain names, pips2u.com, forexdangerous.com, soulforex.com, but I could not get anything started yet as I am not sure which one is the best that can attract traffic to my website. I plan to display my Forex trading profit/loss on the website (a trade journal). Also, since I am not a native english speaker, I am not sure if the phrase "soul forex" is grammatically correct. The idea came after I watched a TV programme (cook show) that's called Soul Food. Is 'Soul Forex' a sensible phrase? Please advise.

Use 'em all, and have the two "other" domains redirect to the "main" domain.

"Soul Forex" doesn't make sense to me. Soul Food means food that's good for the soul.

I would pick the domain name with the most relevant keyword in it to your business - in order to gain a higher ranking.

    Dear nazarju,

Use them all BUT also check which keywords people are using to find Forex sites and then use those key search terms as the basis for new domain names.

Domain names are cheap, so you could buy six or ten and test them all over a set period and see which site name brings in the highest number of hits and which converts the best. Then you re test and go with the winner.

Run a series of PPC ads and use the same ad copy for each ad
but change the domain name. Small changes like this can produce major differences. Trust me: I learned this from Perry Marshall.

As to Soul Forex, well, I can pretty much guarantee that no one's searching for that term. And although it might be pretty to you, you are not buying your product, your customers are.

So if it's not pulling its weight, ditch it.

    I hope this helps.
