Customer Appreciation Open House

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We are a residential design/build remodeler. We annually hold a Customer Appreciation Open House at our office. I'm struggling this year due to tight cost restraints (and from doing it for so many years). My thought is to partner with a local winery and do fondue stations, cheese from aound the world paired with coordinated wines. I need help with raffle prizes, or suggestions to make this a fun event to entice people to attend. It will be on a Thursday from about 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Also, any ideas for a fun invitation?
Thanks.

    Hi Sue,

This sounds like a great event for your customers. I like the wine/cheese idea. Make sure to have sodas available for the non-drinkers. Personally, I like to serve truffles as a desert for this kind of thing. They're easy to make and a real crowd pleaser.

Next subject: giveaways. People love 'em, ya gotta do 'em. Not sure what your budget is but here's what I've seen "hot" on the trade show circuit this year: Amazon Kindles (everywhere); netbooks; fuzzy slippers; giftcards of all kinds; lotto tickets; restaurant certificates; free xx hours of design work; hours of work donated by other tradespeople you know; good chocolate.

Activities: some kind of building/designing competition, perhaps for the little ones, makes sense. Legos or tinkertoys will work great (expensive up front but you can donate them to a shelter afterword & have a nice giving component to the event).

Invitation: include some tinker toy parts or a little box of legos? Live. Build. Habitate. Invitations aren't my strong suit, sorry.

Hope some of this was helpful. I'm sure it'll be a great event.
