Please Review And Critique Our Website Effectiveness?

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am having a difficult time in properly marketing our company website, www.jwfine.com mainly getting our message out. We are new to the web, approximately five-years but not new to industry or our niche market. We have employed SEO techniques that have been ok-effective in ranking, but believe through our site statistical analyst software that prospective customers landing on our site are not spending any noticeable time on the site and they are not returning.

I sincerely appreciate and would welcome any unbiased, constructive advice and marketing suggestions on the effectiveness of our website as you see it AND in the following areas:

Would you do business with us after seeing our website?
If you were seeking remodeling services, do you feel that we offer what you are looking for?
Are we correctly marketing to our niche audience?
Are we adequately getting our message out.
Are we adequately communicating our company capabilities effectively to our potential customers?

How do we put into words the professionalism and experience of our business?
How do we effectively convey our marketing message?
How do we convince the visitor we are the company to do business with?

A brief bio about us:

We are a small, family-owned and operated, design, building and remodeling firm, fully state board licensed to practice General Contacting and we are an accredited Better Business Bureau A-rated business that began operations in 2004.

We are third-generation; professional service providers with an excellent reputation for honesty, service, commitment and outstanding old-world craftsmanship. We deliver this to each-and-every-client that employs our services regardless of job size, scope-of work or complexity.

Protecting our good name is paramount.

We specialize in design-build remodeling and renovation service for home owners, specifically minor upgrades though major redesigns involving Bathroom, Kitchen, Basements and Interior and exterior renovations and improvements.

We are led by a third generation master builder with over 29-yaers of hands-on experience originating from a family of builders starting in 1923.

We are a different type of contactor; we are NOT the old stereo-typical unprofessional-dishonest contractor that Americans so affectionately love to hate endlessly.

Thank you very much for you time and valuable input.

There is no truth / trust in your site. A home remodel is personal, but your site says home-made site and no gallery or description of what JW ACTUALLY DID - before and after photos, sample costs, etc. Most links take you one main page with general information.

There is not motivating reason to call JW - no Fall Special as indicated. You don't convince a prospect to do business with you. You need to build trust and provide them what they need / want and JW's services will be considered.

The home page says "designers and builders of outdoor living spaces and structures" and that is what your photo shows. Why would I call you to remodel my bathroom?

Give me a call if you would like further information. There is so much to discuss.

    Sincerely,
    Bob

First of all, I am not certain that a website will bring in business in your community. Instead, I believe it reinforces who you are, what you are and estabishes credibility.

that being said, your site didnt really make me want to do anything. You say your family has a rich history in the building business. Why not build stories of how it was when you were first starting? Why not tell stories of how some of your grandfathers customer's are still your customers? Or, why not spotlight how a remodel you did in 1954 has survived for a quarter century without expensive upkeep?

Build a history of pictures of jobs you did in the 40's 50's and on up. Then present the question - how can you afford not to have us do your work?
