New Hair Salon

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I own a new Hair Salon in New York and I am looking for advice to promote the salon inexpensively. We have tried newspapers, local advertisements, coupons etc. that have helped but not enough. I am losing hairdressers to more Established Salons in the area. I am in need of help. Thanks You

Do you have employees or are you renting chairs? As you know, there's a lot of hopping going on in your industry. Take a look at what you're offering to get the best hairdressers in.

Are the hairdressers leaving because they don't have enough clients or to get better clients? Have you had your clients write up testimonials in social media review sites (such as Yelp)? Can you team up with beauty/fashion consultants to offer makeovers (especially for holiday party-time)?

Consider posting photos of satisfied customers (no identification) in your front window to show the range of styles you're able to do. Can you put a chair right smack in the front window and, if possible, rotate stylists (and customers) into it. Make it an action-oriented event? Just some off-the-wall thinking, here...

    Best.
