Promotion Ideas For Educationtechnology Conference

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
It's conference time, and were looking to bring something creative to the booth. I work for a company in the Education Technology Sector. Our service/product is NYLearns.org, an innovative web portal that aligns the NY State learning standards to instructional content. We also have content tools for teachers to assist in the learning process. Were trying to get past the pencils, keychains, and stickers clique. What new ways can we attract people? What can we pass out? What can we raffle? Helps us be out of the BOX. Original thinkers only need apply!

Very truly yours,

As a matter of fact, I know of a FANTASTIC line of products that engage education, thinking, and fun all in one! They are a series of 3D wood puzzle "brain teasers". Check them out at www.Calmplex.com.

You could have drawings, timed contests for people to attempt to solve the puzzles, etc.

Please feel free to contact me should you require more ideas!

    Thank You and Good Luck!

    P.S.

I must admit, the company I recommended is one of my clients. However, we may be able to arrange some puzzles for donation. Please send me an email to discuss.

    Thank You!!

    Michael,

No one is here to "kill posts needlessly." I will continue to recommend the Search Questions feature of this site, even to frequent visitors like yourself, because it's a fantastic resource that's often overlooked.

I've never seen a question that lacks responses even after that advice is posted. When the asker provides sufficient and interesting detail, like you just did, the community gushes with ideas!

    Wait... speaking of ideas...

I subscribe to an e-thing from KnowledgeNews.net, and I really love it. Once a day, I get an email that explores one topic relevant to whatever's going on in the world at the moment (Olympics, Islam, Hurricanes). Usually it's a clever and concise piece of history written by an expert -- nothing that's so lengthy that you procrastinate reading it indefinitely.

Educators would love this! Could you give away 100 subscriptions? The price of a LIFETIME subscription is $35, but I'll bet you could get the KnowledgeNews guys to discount that if you're doing some cross-pollinating marketing at the tradeshow.

By the way, they have a free 30-day trial subscription. Check it out!
