Marketing Plan For A Five-star Boutique Hotel

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi, there. I am now working on a marketing plan to promote a new luxury 5 star boutique hotel which is going to open at the end of the year in southern China. Considering the unique cultural environment and the target customers (30-35 years old, very rich, fashion-oriented, with no kids), what would make the marketing plan to be creative and special? I am not majoring in marketing, so it's a little bit hard for me to write such a plan. Is there anyone who can give me some detail suggestions? Thanks a lot.

Best marketing plans aren't ones that are especially creative, but are thorough with regards to who the target custom is and how you would reach them.

With any marketing plan or business plan, I start by writing down the headings for the sections, and then I start filling in the details for each section. Some details on marketing plans at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marketing_plan, if you don't have a template for this already. But important areas to get data on are various ways of looking at the environment and company (such as SWOTS and PEST analysis), and then detailed information about how you will reach the people you want to reach.

Start by telling the story of a mythical (but named) person who you're targeting. Write down where they live, what they do for a living, what their life is like, and why they'd be visiting the hotel. Who will they meet with, what will they do during the visit, and what will they do after the visit. Then your analysis of what you're trying to accomplish marketing-wise will dovetail with the story.
