I have the task of getting clients to rent a country property designed and built by an artist sculptor in Spain to people interested in nature, art and time to retreat.
I need help on more tools and ideas on getting potential clients and, very important, getting results.
These are the prerequisites I have been given to market the place :
- The exact name of the location can´t be published as one of the values of the place is the possibility it offers to retreat and enjoy getting away from your normal everyday life.
- Preferably clients from Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Finland), any tips? I´m finding it difficult to get into that market.
- Definitely people interested in nature, silence and retreat.
- It needs to be a wealthy person or group of people as the country property has 4 houses, 1 communal space plus garden and land.
- Long term rentals
- Real estate agencies are ok as long as they stick to the philosophy (no mention of location, people with the right profile) but I´m again finding it difficult to locate real estate agencies in Scandinavia that work with Spain.
My main working tool is internet as I currently work in the same village where the property is and it is a village in a mountain so I don´t have the possibility of attending events or making appointments in big cities.
This is what I´ve done so far:
- Created a blog with pictures (please see my profile if you would like to give feedback as I´m not sure I can post a link in the forum)
- Created a twitter and twitpic account, everyday we post a picture of the place with the reflection of the day.
- Created a facebook account and published an ad directed to Scandinavia.
- Published an online ad in a wellbeing magazine in Norway (Altnett)
- Published a printed ad in that same magazine
- Contacted an art magazine in Norway, in conversations to publish ad in printed magazine.
- Spoken with Norwegian cultural council in Spain to find out artists and writers associations in Norway.
- Advertised the property in property websites in different languages.
What else could we do? What would make you rent a property long term (minimum 6 months) in nature? How could we locate that type of client, a wealthy person or group of people interested in living in nature?
Many thanks,
Maria Jose from jabierans country property
