Valentine's Day Advertising

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We are an eye specialist office looking to expand our business and change our usually newspaper ad. Looking for a catchy slogan for the Valentine's Day ad. The majority of our patients are over 65. Can anyone help me come up with a catchy slogan? I am not creative at all! Thank you!

An eye chart with a rose at the apex of the chart (or roses throughout)?

    Dear ChristiH96,

You don't need to be catchy or creative. You need to be relevant.

How about an old man looking through new glasses at his same age wife. Only from where he's standing he now sees a much younger woman.

Likewise for an elderly woman looking at her husband and seeing a young stud. Or, each scenario again but each person seeing their spouse as they were when they got married, perhaps 50 years earlier.

This idea together with the headline: "See what an eye exam can do for you!" will give people a few laughs AND help focus (no pun intended) on your older audience, especially if you use a sub head that tells those over 65 of your specific offer for Valentine's Day.

Another headline could be "See the man/woman you married as you saw them on your wedding day. Come in for your check up on Valentine's Day for a gift on us"

So again, you do not have to be catchy because catchy is not a selling strategy™ But relevance? Relevance is a different ball game.

    I hope this helps.
