Promo Ideas To Boost Weekday Restaurant Sales

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I'm looking for some new and innovative restaurant promo's to boost business. I run the sales and marketing department in a 4 star hotel (local population of 62,000) with 4 Food & Beverage departments. I am searching for some new and creative ways to stand out and be different from our competitors. One of our restaurants is a high end steak house, another is a buffet restaurant, thirdly, a lounge in the lobby and, fourth, a sports bar connected to a casino. Weekends aren't an issue, we need to make a splash on the weekdays, can you help?

My friend runs a Mom & Pop restaurant but she has a homey yet professional email template that she uses to send out the weekly specials. She words it in a very descriptive and friendly way so you want to run out and try the great dish of the week. At the very least it keeps you on their radar in a non-intrusive way.

    A couple of ideas:

For your steakhouse, team up with local wineries. If people signup (with their credit card#) for the evening, they'll get unlimited free tastes, and then they'll get a free bottle of their favorite wine with dinner. That's a win-win for your restaurant & local winery.

For the buffet - allow people to guess the exact weight of their food (the first time through the buffet). Exact guess = free meal.
