Employee Newsletter

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
Hello, I have been asked to set up an employee newsletter for the company. Our name is officially Pro Builders but we are under the Home Hardware group of companies.

We are fairly small so are not going to ask the employees for their input into a 'name'. Does anyone have any good ideas for it?

    Lauri,
I have worked on several corporate & employee newsletters in my lifetime - some, albeit tagged as "employee newsletters," were actually designed to communicate management news and opinions in a "non-memo format." Others, have been far more fun with integrated input from management and employees to really make it interesting and relevant to all.

The intended "voice" & message content of the employee newsletter you are thinking of designing (tone & manner/point of view) should give you a clue as to what to name the piece.

    Good luck!

    Lauri,
I really think you should engage your company's employees in the naming of the newsletter (make it a contest with a prize for the winner) for two simple reasons:
    1) they know what your business is all about and,
    2) it makes them feel valued.

Addtionally it might offer a mini insight to management into what other talents these employees bring to the table.

    Best to you,
