    Hi,

Well you can start by targeting campuses/institutes that offer courses complimentary to yours, or those that are immediate predecessors to your offered certification(s).

Use a more structured approach, such as conducting a seminar or workshop, rather than passing out printed information, as that can damage your credibility.

If you respond to Phil's question, we'll do our best. But without more information we can't really do much.

Who is your primary target audience? What important need of theirs do you satisfy? What makes your institute different from, and better than, others? Who is your competition? What are they doing? What have you done in the past that worked/didn't work?

To make the impression, that being in your institute is something special, you could initiate a contest for an essay on the topic from your area. As a reword, a winner would be joining your team getting an “important” position in the institute for example an assistant or a good currently "must have" book. It will draw attention to your institute.

Another idea is to take short interviews with alumni, who got successful, edit them into a one page layout with photos and signature and place in a showcase next to your office. That would show, that being in your institute gives opportunities for the future.

If you teach something from the social work / health care / others help areas, you could talk to people in need and describe their stories with pointing out, how necessary it is that people work in this field, what would of course mean, that they have to take lectures in your institute.

Or why don' you find sponsors for your current students – they will spread the information.

Well, get the students to know what are they gonna get when they join, and why they should choose you. From there, you can create ideas on how to attract them.
