Using Other Companies Logos On My Website

I want to show visitors that I have attended various colleges and obtained qualifications from them. Can I use the college and university logos on my website. Do I need permission to do this.

    I would ask for permission, but in this day of *sharing*, you may not get an immediate no if the institutions can verify that you in fact, have degrees from their schools.
