Corp Spon Needed For Mobile Video Game, Karaoke

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I have a mobile Video Game, Satellite and Karaoke entertainment trailer. We have just received some local notice and are looking to find a corporate sponsor. We can provide a number of actions including going to corporate sponsored events to promote the sponsor. Once there we can create competitions or contests for various things like video gaming, karaoke or even rock band for teams. We are looking to provide a product that will either allow children to be entertained while parents are shopping or hearing sales pitches and/or allow people to enjoy them selves while hearing about the product we are sponsoring. Our demographics will range from 8yrs old to 48 years old, both male and female. We are new at this and do not even know how to begin. Does anyone have any advice as to what kind of tools we need to give a corporate sponsor and how best to market this idea? Any information or opinions would be great.

    You need a few things.

First, you need to clearly define who your target audience is. What kinds of corporate sponsors would be most likely to want what you're offering? Which companies best fit that description? Why would they want to sponsor you? What's in it for them? What will it cost them, and what benefit will it deliver that makes it worth that cost?

Then you need to narrow your demographics a bit. Do you have any idea how many billions of people are between 8 and 48 years old, both male and female? Maybe limit it to just people in one city or state, and perhaps at the younger end of your range (8-12, or maybe teens, etc.) It's going to be all but impossible to effectively reach the target audience you've defined ... and it will cost a fortune.

Most important, though, is to come up with a business plan of some kind, so you know how much money you'll need, how you will spend it, what kind of return you'll get on your investment, and how long it will take before you're truly profitable. You'll want to identify the critical success factors, too -- the things that have to happen if you are going to reach your goal -- so you can track your progress and make adjustments along the way. (Nothing ever goes exactly according to plan.)

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes. Sounds like an interesting concept.

Is there somewhere a person can go to find a good marketing packet example? What type of package or how it should look after I have answered those questions? We are a start-up company and do not have monies to pay a firm to prepare for us. Anywhere the normal person can go to look at examples?
