Promoting A Soccer Camp

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I work for a soccer camp company and have recently found the industry to be so diluted, it's looking like everyone's giving it a go!
We send out the usual brochures/flyers/posters and leave it up to volunteers in our region to pass them out most of the time.
On top of that we send out emails/mailers but nothing ever too expensive or adventurous.
With the industry now watered down, and needing to separate ourselves from the competition, is it time for some risk and reward? Should I start looking at billboards/radio and spend some money? Feels like a gamble but I know that currently not enough people in the communities are even aware of the opportunity we provide.
Thanks everyone!!

I suggest you make scheduled appearances at the area league locations. Get out on the field and demonstrate why your camp is better than the rest. Tell players/parents how their children will benefit from going to your camp.

Begin to develop the relationships yesterday! People will eventually register with a camp with directors/instructors they know, like and trust.

You may also want to set up social media accounts and invite players/parents to look to them for soccer tips before, during and after camp.

It would make sense for you to talk with some of the parents of your previous campers - was there anything that set your camp apart from others? Why did they choose it? What did their kids like best about it? Then you can use this feedback to develop your own unique selling proposition.
