    1. It really depends on the specific company and industry, the concept itself, and your own credentials/track record.

    2. It always begins with an in-depth understanding of the target company. Are they even open to receiving unsolicited ideas? Who in the company is the right person for the concept? Etc.

    3. Be sure to explain clearly what the BENEFIT of the concept will be (for the target company) ... WHY they should buy into the concept. Don't assume they'll naturally figure this out. If you have good research among their target audience, that would be strong support.

    4. And don't be surprised if the really big/sophisticated companies don't even want to hear your concept. If they already have an idea similar to yours and then they implement it, they don't want to have to prove to a court somewhere that they didn't steal it from you.

are you trying to sell ideas?

Selling creative ideas to creative people seems a bit like selling ice to Eskimos. Good ideas are a dime a dozen. Sorry, but I don't think people pay you to sit around and daydream, people pay for hard work and diligent effort.
