Marketing To Architects/interior Designer

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hello

Im looking at really out of box ideas to target architects/interior designers across India.
It is for a premium bath fittings/luxury segment.

They are not interested in architect seminars/meets which nothing but free 5star lunch or cocktail session.
anyone has done any innovative concepts in anyother markets to engage this audience.
In India the clients may buy into the suggestions of the architect/designer when they suggest a bath fitting if it fits their budget. Since these are premium products the clients would not mind spending.
The ideas cannot have a high reliance on internet, but a mix would do

thanks for your patience

Its not true they aren't interested in meeting with you-- as long as you have something relevant to them. To accomplish this, when I have a new intro-- make that call a smarter call by working a specific project. One of my principals just subscribed me to BidClerk, a much less expensive service than Dodge. Find an appropriate project, call the person heading it, and explain how your product is worth looking at for this project. I do it all the time. And when I'm in their office I see a handful of other reps in meetings too. So they are setting rep appointments-- you have to find out why you aren't getting them. If you just call blind, you are likely to be sent to the librarian-- not your best prospect.

Is your leave behind marketing collatoral done with full specification in CSI format and CSI # on the spine of the binder?

If you don't want to go that route, start a lead group with other high end suppliers-- custom millwork company, high end flooring, etc. Sponsor an IIDA meeting. Once a year the local AIA show has a trade show. Get involved in your local NKBA.

Hope that helps, Sell Well and Prosper tm

Start by not trying to market across all of India. Focus on one city and find local events to meet architects at initially. Do informational interviews to find out how they choose premium bath fittings. Once you better understand their needs, then you can approach them with your offering (especially showcasing how it compares the your competition).
