How Do I Increase Footfall In A Seminar.

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
Hi,

I am from a Stock Market Trading company. I wanted to know if my fellow Professionals can suggest on how to increase the footfall in a seminar which I am conducting in a Semi-Urban city of Gujarat, India.

I would appreciate if you can revert ASAP.

    Hi, Ketan --

However you're promoting this seminar (advertising, direct mail, email), be sure to emphasize the BENEFITS that the audience will get from your seminar, and describe them in a way that they will understand. In other words, if you're trying to attract people who have never invested in stocks, don't write to them as if they are financial experts. (Actually, your seminar should follow suit!)

You could also offer an incentive to attend -- one randomly chosen attendee will receive an iPad, for instance.

    Hope that helps a bit!

I agree with Shelley - I would suggest much of the same as she has suggested. People want to know what is in it for them before they attend.

It all starts with the list. Buy a list or collect contacts from every sales person in the company.

Then create a marketing calendar and outline every single communication, main message and publishing date then start executing. Make sure that you also have a thank you email for when they register and reminder emails 5 days before, the night before and the morning of the event. Those reminders can significantly increase attendance.

Send a "Last Chance to Register" 3-5 days before the event. Most people register at the last minute, so don't let initial low attendance numbers dissuade you.

Lastly, never EVER cancel no matter how low attendance numbers are. You will seem untrustworthy and those who did register will be offended that they invested their effort with you.

Just plan to have another event and have past attendees help you find others to attend with their positive endorsement.
