How To Find Clients?

Hello,Dear friends:
I'm so upset these days for how to find clients.
I come from China and have worked in a international company for years as a sourcing manager.
From long time ago, I have dreaming to own my own business, so I quit the company and start my own business at begining of 2010.
Because I have no any experience of maketing and sale skills, so it's difficult for me to find clients.

    Marshall,
    First. Have a native English speaker rewrite your website copy. This is key.

    Second. Look for a sales person on replocate.com that already has contacts and can direct the business to you.

    Lastly. Make sure you have a physical office in the US. Normally it's just your sales reps office but a listed location will help you gain the trust of your prospects.

    if I read in your situation,

    1) I would attempt to set up a network of manufacturers representatives (Carol Blaha on this forum is expert in this area).

    2) if you intend to sell to the US market, your English must be flawless. I'm sorry, but I don't think anyone in the United States will believe that you can create error-free high precision manufactured parts if you cannot construct grammatically correct sentences.

    3) if you are serious about learning about sales and marketing, then I would suggest that you read at least one English language sales and marketing book per week. this forum is certainly a good starting point, but we cannot teach you everything you need to know.
