How To Market To A Doctors Office

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
There is a new health and wellness centre that uses salt rooms for the natural treatment of respiratory conditions. It really works for people and we have testimonials. In many countries in Europe and Israel that therapy is even covered by their healthcare systems. We are the first clinic of its kind in Canada and the doctors have no idea what it is. I want to hold an open house, where we will have literature and the doctors can sit in the salt room. My question is, how do I even go about trying to invite them to attend? Do I try and get their private addresses and send them an invite or send one invite per clinic?? I really think if the doctors are on board then Canada will do just as well with salt rooms as in other countries.

Depending on how many people these salt rooms can comfortably hold, I'd invite a couple of clinics worth of doctors at a time to experience the therapy. Send each doctor personal notes and a couple of quick sentences about the features of this treatment. Include a testimonial or two from people whom it's helped in other countries.

It will take awhile to amass an accurate list of names in your area, but approaching each doctor individually and personally will pay off in the long run.

My guess is that your focus is on ear nose and throat specialists(?). Speak promptly in language that will engage them.

Thank you for your response! I will definitely invite a few clinics at a time. Any general physician would work, it mainly treats asthma, COPD, allergies and so on.
MY question now is, how do I even go about inviting them? DO I send out one invitation per clinic? I`m assuming only the secretary will see that and I dont think the response will be very high.
I`m not sure how to actually make the doctors come and who to even send the invitations to...

You are offering a professional service that you want doctors to recommend. Definitley don't want to send that to their personal addresses.

Medical offices get a lot of mail. A well-written mailer can cut thru the clutter. Make sure there are salts in the mailer.

Randal, what is an L&L? You will have to forgive me, I know nothing about marketing and advertising!
I am looking up your firm now and I will contact you!
    Thanks!
