I'm with Karen. I went to the site, clicked a few things, and couldn't figure out who the target audience is or what the site's objective is. What's the purpose of this site? Who is supposed to find it? How? Why?

I'm a marketing/management consultant, specializing in strategy, positioning and branding (along with all the marketing mix elements). My first reaction is always to try to understand who the target audience is and what the key positioning benefit is for that audience.

Your site didn't give me much help with those questions, and I'm guessing others will have the same problem.

We are here to help, but it's hard to give constructive criticism when we don't know what you're trying to accomplish. Any suggestions we would make are going to be irrelevant (or misdirected) unless/until we understand what success looks like for you.

What do I love about the site? It doesn't take very long to realize that there isn't much there that's relevant (for me), so it's very efficient that way.

The biggest problem is wading through the projects to find someone/something of interest. Take a tip from Corbis (etc.) - you need lots of relevant tags to help people find candidates. No one will spend the time looking through everything unless there's a quick way to hone in on galleries.

    Hello,

Thank you all very much for your responses. You have all been very helpful. I will do as some of you have suggested and close this question and open a new one with a lot more detail.

I think the most useful comment came at the end. This was the kind of thing I was looking for.

The website is a tool for creative professionals. There is a comprehensive list of 'CREATIVE FIELDS' from jewelery design, to interior design, Animation, Package design, Architecture, web design, branding, etc etc etc etc

People can sign up, create an online portfolio of their work, to display it to others, as well as people seeking talents, and also employees.

Employees are also posting jobs on the site, so the website is attracting the perfect couple of Employee & Job Hunter.

    Thank You
