Teen Tune Up Idea

Posted by ormancreative on 125 Points
For an automotive repair business, we are hosting a Teen Tune Up night where we are teaching teens how to care for their car. We are looking for contest ideas to get school groups out and plan to give donations to school groups. We are thinking about for instance a tire changing contest, but we are looking for other ideas. Also, any other ideas on how to draw teens out would be greatly appreciated. We are already planning a radio remote with prize giveaways as well. Any ideas on how to make this event better would be greatly appreciated.

I love this concept, especially since so few teens know how to care for their own cars.

What about a girls vs. boys competition on one of the items you mentioned? It would make for a great reason and tool for girls to become more acquainted with the inner workings of their cars.

You may expand the tire-changing event to oil/filter changes, cleaning/detailing and others. When it comes to the latter, they'd have to explain why they chose the product/technique that they did and how they may affect the lives of their cars.

Whatever you do, go to where teens hang out to get the word spread: social media outlets, their schools and other clubs. Make the clubs teen-friendly and they will likely be eager to learn these tasks and show up in droves.
