If the weather permits - setup the furniture outside, making inviting outdoor "rooms" (bedrooms, living rooms, etc.), thereby attracting people passing by and some media attention.

    Dear bhavani,

    Hire two, low-level, short-bed, flat-bed, open-sided trucks: something like this: https://www.governmentauctions.org/uploaded_images/lawntruck-720176.jpg

Set up a bedroom setting on the back of one of the trucks (fully made bed, night stands, reading lamps, chest of drawers, his and hers area rugs, slippers under the bed, and so on), and set up a living room on
the back of the second truck (lamp stand, sofa, TV, VCR, magazine
rack, arm chair, area rug, potted palm).

All the furniture must be visible from both sides of the truck and from behind.

Either use your own staff or hire student actors to sit in the living room watching television and to lie in the bed reading as the trucks are driven around town three or four times a day at rush hour.

On the side of each truck bed, and on the back of each truck, place
a sign that says "For equally fine (but much less mobile) household furniture, visit Gupta's Furniture", and include the street name,
    telephone number, website address.

This accomplishes several things: it's unexpected, it makes you stand out, it generates word of mouth, it generates PR from potential radio
and television coverage, and it makes people remember you.

And if you change the furniture around for other rooms (offices, kitchens, and so on), and vary the decor according to season or according to themes (birthdays, discos, weddings, and so on)
you'll be able to milk this idea FOR MONTHS!

    I hope this helps.
